Social grant increase

"Cape Town - National Treasury has announced the increase in social grants up to 193 billion this financial year, in what Finance Minister Malusi Gigaba called a bid to cover for the tax increases he proposed in his budget speech."

Shortly after South Africa became a democratic country Mr N. Mandela who was the President then made a lot of changes. He wanted to change South Africa for the better and tried to help poor citizens by making social grant.

Over the years this looked helpful because many black citizens benefited from this money. Some of them don't even know that this money comes from the citizens who are in the working class, which means that they are being robbed off their hard earned income. The more the social grant increases, is the more those who are in the working class are being exploited.

The question we should be asking ourselves is, aren't the rights of the people who wake up in the morning to try to provide for their families by going to work being violated? So before you celebrate the increase of the child and adult support grant think about the people who are robbed in the whole process.

  3. The grant increase will be very helpful to people who are really disadvantaged financially but some will use it as an opportunity to rob off their grandparents.

  4. Everything has a disadvantage. . Because at the end of the day, there are families that are dependent on the grant and have absolutely no other option even they tried. . Too bad that the working class has to suffer for it

  5. Oh Yeesss! I am going to be a father. I can't wait. I've been longing for this for a quite long time now and the moment has came. I already have plans for my child's support grant. I going to buy Weaves and rent them out.

They stood up for what they believed was theirs and they never backed down. Jacob Zuma, the former President of the country, made their wishes come true when he announced that there will be free education for everyone. The students celebrated and they were very joyful. This year though, most students couldn't register because some tertiary institutions wanted a registration fee. The question now is, what happened to free education?
